There has been so much going on in the last few weeks, which has been hard to convey (considering my lack of internet). So I guess I will start off with the Fourth of July....
.
As is the new tradition with our family, we went camping over the 4th- this year we went to Marsh Lake. After last year's expedition, we decided to stick with camping instead of backpacking ;).
The whole gang just relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors!
This year we expanded our numbers by 4! Nate, Aaron, Camille and Kellie were lucky enough to join the ranks.
.| Building the perfect tinfoil dinners |
Although we were "roughing it" in the woods, we ate like Kings! Tinfoil Dinners, Roasted Hot Dogs, Fresh Fruit, Gourmet Jelly Beans, Pretzel Chips, Giant Marshmallows, Messy S'mores, not to mention Dutch Oven Breakfast and Dutch Oven Dessert... it was so hard to return to "civilization" and my own empty kitchen..
Following our Trusty Guide
On Sunday we went for a little hike... which turned out to be a not so little hike- thanks to our Trusty and very energetic guide- G-Force :) But we finally reached our destination- only to turn around and return to our campsite for a much needed rest. Thank heavens for Tropical Starbursts and Peanut M-&-M's.
O say can you see?
Before heading out the men lined up to serenade us and welcome in the Fourth!
All cleaned up and sporting our patriotic attire
Getting settled in for the Firework Show!
Putting on our own Firework Show!!
Proud to be an American.
